Assistant Store Manager · Shift Lead

Opening shift, morning huddle, and the 2pm handover to the Manager.

You're the first person to open the store and the leadership presence during the morning shift, before the Store Manager arrives at 2pm. You run the morning huddle. You handle escalations when the Manager isn't on the floor. You're the second-in-command who eventually steps up to manage your own location.

What you're actually doing

Opening at 9:30am with the morning huddle. Leading the AM counter team. Receiving morning production handoff from the kitchen. Handling guest service and resolving small issues before they grow. Doing the 2pm shift handover with the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Open the store and lead the 9:30am morning huddle
  • Lead the counter team during the AM shift
  • Receive morning production deliveries from the kitchen
  • Resolve customer service questions and small escalations
  • Deliver a clean shift handover to the Store Manager at 2pm
  • Cover for the Manager on their day off
  • Run partial till reconciliation for the morning shift

Requirements

  • 2+ years in F&B retail or hospitality
  • Bilingual Spanish/English — the interview includes an English section
  • Previous experience leading a small team
  • Comfortable with POS, basic spreadsheets, daily reports
  • Current MINSA food-handler card or willingness to obtain before day one
  • Available for the morning shift (9:30am–5:30pm)
